Professional hair tools I can’t live without

I have to admit, I am very picky when it comes to hair tools. I spend hours behind the chair so its important that the tools I’m using will hold up for a very long time. These tools that I’m sharing aren’t exactly the cheapest on the market but I promise they are the best of the best! If one of these items were to go missing I’d repurchase it as soon as possible! When you purchase a PRO tool you are not only paying for the best quality in a hair tool but you are also investing in a tool that will last you a very long time. I’ll break down what each tool is great for and why I love it. Enjoy!

  1. Mason Pearson pocket brush. I have had this brush for over 7 years and I have to say, it gets better over time. This is a great everyday hair brush, it has a mixture of nylon and boar bristles so it will move your natural oils from roots to ends while brushing the hair for a healthy shine and overall hair health. This is is great for stylists and clients. This is a must have in my hair kit when working on location. From photo shoots to weddings, it gets the job done. It provides the perfect amount of tension for a sleek high pony and also back combs like a dream to achieve the perfect tease.

  2. GHD platinum styler. This flat iron does more than straighten hair, it can be used to add a wave in the hair or create an effortless bend. This has an automatic internal temperature that is designed to cause less heat damage to the hair. If you’re looking for a new flat iron, this is it!

  3. Aerosol fine mist water bottle. I know what you’re thinking, “What is so special about a water bottle?” Well, this one does not drip water down your face like the others do. It produces a light mist so you have the option to lightly wet the hair or continuously spray to make the hair damp. It’s great for re wetting and prepping wavy/curly hair before air drying. I keep an extra one at home to use on my house plants. It’s great!

  4. Dyson detangling comb. If you have thick, course hair- get this! I love this for curly hair! The teeth are very wide so it won’t disrupt your natural curl. It’s also anti static as well so you wont get those annoying fly away’s when you’re flat ironing. It detangles like a dream and is also great to comb through hair masks.

  5. Dyson pro hair dryer. This dries my thick hair fast! Its lightweight and has a short body so you don’t have to extend your arm too much which can cause pain over time. It comes with a diffuser as well that works great!

  6. Hot Tools one step blowout brush. If you’re somebody that can never achieve a salon blowout at home, this product is a must! This is my favorite tool to create a voluminous blowout at home. It’s worth every penny.

  7. YS Park shark clips. These are perfect to hold your hair in place while styling. These clips don’t budge in the hair and will last you a long time unlike some other plastic alligator clips.

  8. Sheila Stotts Removal Brush. This brush is the best detangling brush I have ever used! This brush was designed for hair extensions so it’s super gentle on the hair. There is also a drainage hole which is great because you can use it on wet hair, in the shower and to comb through hair treatments. Can be used on wet or dry hair.
