While staying home during this uncertain time I find myself tackling different emotions everyday. Some day’s are productive, easy, hopeful. Other days are dark, uncertain, frustrating. What helps me most days is knowing that I’m not the only one dealing with these emotions right now. I’ve found that taking long walks outside, deleting the Instagram app from my home screen, reading, listening to music, organizing, at home workouts and napping have literally gotten me through these crazy times. I’ve also created this website, which is something I’ve been telling myself I would do for over 4 years but have never found the time to do so. Throughout all of this I find myself being so incredibly grateful. The Coronavirus has so quickly changed our lives and has sort of forced us to change our everyday routines. I schedule myself a to do list most mornings so that I have a plan for the day ahead. It’s important to have something to look forward to! I challenge all of you who, like myself, have the luxury of staying safe at home with basic essentials like food and water to find gratitude everyday. I’m grateful to our healthcare workers, my faith and my friends and family. I pray for those who don’t have access to everyday necessities, children who live in broken homes, those who are sick and those who have lost loved ones due to this sickness. I believe we will all get through this! Hang in there.
